Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: October 19, 2026
We want you to know exactly when a link on Usable Nutrition could earn us money, and when it never does. Here is the plain version from our RD team.
Amazon affiliate links
Usable Nutrition participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (Amazon Associates). Some product links, mainly on our recommended tools page and in the “Tools our RD team finds useful” boxes on a few kitchen-focused guides, are Amazon affiliate links that carry our tag, usablenutrition-20. If you buy something through one of these links, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Affiliate links are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored", and every set of them comes with a short disclosure line right before the links.
Our own guides on Gumroad
Our $10 digital guides and the Complete Library bundle are our own products, sold through Gumroad. When you buy one, we earn from that sale directly. Links to them are not affiliate links, and no third party pays us for them.
Source citations
The sources we cite, such as government agencies (for example the USDA, FDA, CDC, and NIH), the American Heart Association, and professional organizations, are there so you can check the evidence yourself. We earn nothing from those links.
How we choose what to recommend
We only recommend items our RD team considers genuinely useful for everyday cooking and eating, and nothing on the list is required. We choose them for practicality and wide availability. We do not claim to have personally tested every product, and a possible commission does not decide what we include.
What we do not link to
- We do not list or recommend supplements.
- Guides on medically sensitive topics carry no product links.
Educational content, not medical advice
Everything on this site is general nutrition education. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for personalized care from a registered dietitian, physician, or other qualified clinician.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you spot a link you think is not disclosed properly, please let us know. For how we handle information more broadly, see our privacy policy.
